We ready, T-1

We just had a nice dinner with my brother, sister-in-law, and the kids. We enjoyed some delicious Italian food, and the cherry on top? He paid! Free food always tastes better, I've been told.

It's starting to sink in: we're leaving everything behind—at least for 7 months. It feels good, I think. I have the feeling I still have so much to do. Actually, I do still have a lot to do. But that's how I like it. Combining travel and work is new and exciting. I'm not sure yet how I'll manage.

Some destinations are more adventurous than others; we'll find out if connectivity will always be easy...

First stop: Windhoek, Namibia.
